Amaaaaazing Grace, How Sweet the Sound!
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves;
it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. Eph 2.8-9 |
"I can kiss God!" You obey God's Law as an expression of your love for Him. Obeying God is a hug around His neck and a kiss upon His lips. Halleluyah! |
(Jesus said...) If you love Me, keep My commandments. John 14.15 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. 1 John 5.3 |
"I'm alive!" Walking in the ways of God makes your soul tingle with life and joy. |
The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul. Ps 19.7a, NIV |
"At last I know!" Obedience of God makes you wiser than a rocket scientist concerning the true purpose of existence. |
The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple. Ps 19.7b, NIV | |||
"I've got the joy-joy-joy-joy down in my heart!" "Happiness" lasts but a moment. "Joy" never leaves. In Christ, joy is what you OWN. |
The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart. Ps 19.8a, NIV |
"I can see clearly now!" The road of life often passes through the valley of the shadow of death. The commands of God are your searchlight, piercing even the darkest blackness that life can throw at you. |
The commands of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes. Ps 19.8b, NIV |
"Hear me sing, Lord!" Though the tempest rages, I shall not be, I shall not be moved. (Halleluyah! Amen, Amen, and AAAAAmen!) |
Oh, the joys of those who do not follow evil men's advice, who do not
hang around with sinners, scoffing at the things of God. But they delight in doing everything God wants them to, and day and night are always meditating on His laws and thinking about ways to follow Him more closely. They are like trees along a river bank bearing luscious fruit each season without fail. Their leaves shall never wither, and all they do shall prosper. Ps 1.1-3, LB |
